Robert Křesťan: Noc

Ozvěna od Svatého Pavla

zalétla i k nám do pokoje

z příšeří jsi na mě mávla

úsměvem lorda Fauntleroye

Zpod toho prastarého gesta

ti ve tváři vykvetl sad

a po střechách věčného města

kráčela noc jako aristokrat

V podkroví starého domu

s blaženou nevinností

palčivou chuť kardamomu

chutnali jsme si do sytosti

Až dvojhlasem zavřískly žestě

a v nesvatém slunci Hirošimy

smíření ve svatém městě

jsme nakonec dospěli i my

Ráno jsi vypila kávu

a odešla dřív než jsem vstal

ani jsem nezdvihl hlavu

ani jsem nezamával

To jen zvoníci zmámili mě

prvními tóny velikonoc

to nás jen v hotelu v Římě

na pár chvil spojila noc

Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong: Learnin' The Blues

The tables are empty, the dance floor's deserted
You play the same love song, it's the tenth time you've heard it
That's the beginning, just one of the clues
You've had your first lesson in learnin' the blues

The cigarettes you light one after another
Won't help you forget her and the way that you love her
You're only burnin' a torch you can't lose
'Cuz you're on the right track for learnin' the blues

When you're at home alone
The blues will taunt you constantly
When you're out in a crowd
The blues will haunt your memory

The nights when you don't sleep, the whole night you're crying
You can't forget her, soon you even stop trying
You'll walk the floor and wear out those new shoes
When you feel your heart break, you're learnin' the blues

When you're at home alone
The blues will taunt you constantly
When you're out in a crowd
The blues will haunt your memory

The nights when you don't sleep, the whole night you're crying
Well, you can't forget her, soon you even stop trying
You'll walk the floor and wear out your shoes
When you feel your heart break, you're learnin' the blues
You feel your heart break, you're learnin' the blues

Careless Love: Hugh Laurie

Love oh love
oh careless love
love oh love love love love
oh careless love

You make me
you make me weep
you make me moan
you make me
you make me leave
my happy home

Don't you never
drive a stranger from your door
don't you never never never never
drive a stranger from your door

It may be your sister
or your brother
you'll never know
don't never drive a stranger
from your door

Careless love
you drove me
through the wind and snow
careless love
you drove me, you drove me
through the wind and snow

You robbed me
out my silver
you robbed me
out my gold
I'll be damned
if I let you
rob me out my soul
